On Wednesday, September 10 the letUMeat chefs prepared a beautiful 6 course meal for Nike North America Merchandising at ArborBrooks Vineyards in Newberg, OR. We started out with some bubbly rose from our friends at Soter Vineyards and fresh Netarts Bay Torkes oysters from Northwest Fresh Seafood. Dinner was accompanied with ArborBrooks Vineyards wines and served at a long table inside the tasting room, which is actually a converted early 1900s barn.
Ingredients for the meal were sourced from our own farm, MSR Ranch (at Soter Vineyards), Baird Family Orchards and Northwest Fresh Seafood. The Nike North America Merchandising team gave Chef Karl, Cory and Jimmy a standing ovation after dessert. Brad Johnson, VP of Merchandising, had some very inspirational words to say: “remember that Nike was started by a group of people that had a dream”, drawing parallels to the letUMeat crew and our passion for what we are doing with food and bringing people together. That felt pretty great, to say the least.
