Celebrating our favorite #Eaters on Instagram
Instagram is a great way to live vicariously through other people. These 5 Instagram #Eaters throw out some mouthwatering photos, proving that you don’t have to be a professional food photographer to share your appreciation of good food. An iPhone and the ability to navigate some fancy filters will do.
The Eater: @matthewdomingo: Matthew Domingo. Currently living behind the scenes. Travel Portland PR Manager, Founder Farm to Fork Event Co., Oregon Food & Travel Advocate, Event Veteran, Fixer. http://www.matthewdomingo.com
Why we love @matthewdomingo: Matt kills Instagram. He consistently posts awesome photos of everything he’s doing, which turns out to be some cool stuff: traveling, eating and hanging out with Portland chefs and farmers. He makes working for Travel Portland look like a pretty sweet time. We’ve also heard from the ladies he isn’t too hard to look at.
The Eater: @aprildstorm: April Dawn Storm Lover of SF, food, friends & fam #chefswife to @ravikkkapur
Mama to #Makoastorm & #Hoku – That’s about it. http://liholihoyachtclub.com
Why we love @aprildstorm: April rocks the #chefswife lifestyle. She and her husband Ravi Kapur (@ravikkkapur) are in the process of opening their new San Francisco restaurant Liholiho Yachtclub. If you haven’t heard of their pop-ups yet, you should look into it. They’re about to blow up. Plus April and Ravi happened to make the cutest child ever, Makoa Storm, who we just can’t get enough of.
The Eater: @ilanafreddye: ilana freddye furiously improvising http://www.ilanafreddye.com
Why we love @ilanafreddye: This little lady has impeccable taste. From what she’s eating and drinking to her eye for photography. Cute farm animals, vibrant vegetables, ice cream, salads, oysters and cocktails – the perfect diet.
The Eater: @nopalize: Nopalize. A digital media project on local food culture from NopaSF and @nopalitosf restaurant;
bringing people and food closer together. http://www.nopalize.com
Why we love @nopalize: Stephen Satterfield, manager at Nopa in San Francisco, created Nopalize to share the stories behind the food at the restaurant. They visit farms, talk about ingredients and highlight farmers and producers in the Bay Area. Of course there’s some beautiful wine and food to go along with it all.
The Eater: @kkrader: Kate krader @foodandwinemag restaurant editor
Why we love @kkrader: As the restaurant editor of Food and Wine Magazine, you’d expect Kate Krader eats and drinks pretty well. Turns out she does, all over the place and with the best of company: Eleven Madison, Toro NYC, Ma Peche, Zahav, Il Buco and Hearth – and that’s just in the past few weeks. Follow along and drool.
