Chefs Week PDX – 2015 Details Announced

Chefs Week PDX has just announced details for their second annual “party and dinner series that pairs local culinary stars with peers from up and down the West coast.” It will be a collaboration of almost 30 different chefs on 4 dynamic dinners and other food events around Portland February 5 – 8, 2015. Each of the dinners is themed and aims to highlight the chefs’ culinary talents using the best produce, meats, wine, craft beer, spirits and local artisanal products that Oregon has to offer. One of the LETumEAT Feeders, Gregory Gourdet (Departure) is co-founder of Chefs Week PDX. Other Collective members, Joshua McFadden (Ava Genes) and Jason French (Ned Ludd) are also involved in the festivities.

West Coast Modern at Ataula – Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 7:00 pm

The West Coast Modern dinner at Ataula will feature a menu that pushes the envelope of culinary creativity, artful presentations, unique flavors and modern technique. There will be seven courses from seven chefs cooking for modern times. With a clean, layered technique this is forward-thinking cuisine of the west.
Tickets are $150 per person.

Present Culture at St. Jack – Friday, February 6, 2015 at 7:00 pm

The Present Culture dinner at St. Jack will highlight the local bounty of Oregon with major culinary talent. Diners will experience seven courses from regionally-focused chefs bridging their cuisine with products found in Oregon’s backyard.
Tickets are $125 per person.

Cascadia by Fire at Ned Ludd – Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 6:30pm

The Cascadia by Fire dinner at Ned Ludd will be an exploration of modern Cascadian cuisine cooked in one of the city’s most beloved wood-fired stoves. This dinner will feature four courses from five of the Pacific Northwest’s defining chefs.
Tickets are $125 per person.

Bound By Tradition at Elder Hall – Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 6:30pm

The Bound By Tradition dinner at Elder Hall will include chefs and artisans displaying their craft and inspiration behind the traditions that bind and define their métier. A true makers meal, this dinner includes six courses showcasing culinary and practical talent. Tickets are $125 per person.

West Coast 2015 at Departure – Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 6:00 pm

West Coast 2015 is Chefs’ Week PDX’s final dinner at Departure, and will be a gastronomical tour of the West Coast from all participating Chefs’ Week PDX chefs, with the additions of San Francisco’s Vince Nguyen, and Portland’s Carrie Merrill, William Priesch and Joel Stocks. This 24-course dinner will be the ultimate celebration of ingredients and talent and will be a unique opportunity to taste the defining creativity of West Coast food culture. Tickets are $250 per person and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Oregon Conservation Strategy.
